A warrant has been issued by the Jones County Sheriff’s Department for the arrest of a Jones County man following the seizure of marijuana from his home.

Anthony Leon Duncan, 37, is wanted for possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute after 31 bags of marijuana were found under a mattress at his Bowen Hill Road residence.

Schollandra Clark, 28, was arrested at the house Oct. 31 and was charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute.

Investigator Robert Reece said a search warrant was issued for the residence Oct. 31. He said in addition to the drugs, a .38 pistol was also seized.

Investigator Gerry Nelson said officers knocked on the door of the residence and several minutes passed before Clark opened the door.

“We called for the K-9 officer, and the dog alerted in several places in the bedroom,” Nelson explained. “We then hand searched the bedroom and found most of the bags of marijuana under the mattress.”

Reece said a surveillance camera and police scanner were also found at the residence.

Nelson said a couple of other smaller bags were found around the house. He said the warrant was issued for the Haddock residence because of the results of an ongoing investigation.

“There will be more to come,” Nelson stated.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Duncan is asked to call the Sheriff’s Department at 986-3489.
